LA County Yarn Crawl 2020

My first day working at an LYS was also the very first day of the very first LA County Yarn Crawl. It was madness! We had visiting vendors and trunk shows and hordes of yarn enthusiasts determined to check every single store off their passports. I loved it! We are now embarking on the 9th Annual Crawl and I still can’t get enough!

As I write this, we are exactly one month away and we want to share all the fun stuff we have in store. This year’s tote bags are out and available for pre-sale on our website! If you haven’t already, check out the event website as well for all kinds of details, including maps and passports when they’re posted. The event grid is available with a schedule of what each shop has planned. There’s even an app on the way - who says knitters and crocheters are old fashioned?

Here at Gather, we’ll be holding events like Meet the Dyer on 3/28 with Jessie Frias of From: Me To: Yarn. She’s just as bright and delightful as her colorful colorways! We will hold needle felting demos on 3/26 and Knit Assist throughout the day on 3/27 - let me try and solve all your knitting problems!

We’ve got some great trunk shows in store as well! We’ll have yarn from Murky Depths yarn, Elctrk Love Yarns, Crochet Cove yarns, Kelbourne Woolens and Juicebox Yarns as well as samples from Quince & Co and Kelbourne Woolens.

And did I mention daily prizes? We hope to see you during the crawl. Stay tuned for more info on parking and public transportation options.
